Being a hairdresser myself but always struggled with psoriasis on my scalp I’ve tried most big brand/professional/prescribed shampoos around with no joy!
I found this shampoo didn’t foam but I know shampoos don’t need too to clean your hair so this didn’t bother me! Smells slightly minty not strong like some big brands. Hair is squeaky clean after! Will help remove any build up on hair from other products.
My hair is naturally curly and highlighted so lacks moisture, I found this shampoo did make my hair tangle but didn’t irritate my scalp so it’s something I need to see over time if it’s worth having dry hair for.
The conditioner is nice and thick but yet again not enough moisture for my hair it was hard to comb through after still.
I also used the oil which helped to comb through and give moisture but did leave it looking a bit greasy so think that’s going to be a learning curve on how much is right for your hair!
Overall my scalp felt nice, not irritated and think over time would help with scaling and flakes, just will need to master the amount of oil added for moisture afterwards
A few tips!
You can get a better foam by adding more water after you massage the shampoo in. I find I get a really great burst that I can then massage through.
As your hair adjusts, you'll find the tangling goes away and you can actually comb you hair out with your fingers in the shower.
I use the oil by smoothing through towel dry hair and leaving on, but I appreciate this can be heavy for a lot of people. I'd suggest either using it as a mask before washing (we're also working on a proper balm mask!) or you can add the oil to your condiitoner as a booster if you'd like more moisture there.
Any advice/wishes you have as a professional, I'm all ears!
